Sign 2 sing

On Monday the 2nd February, period 5, the HI Department along with Annanhill Primary School and Park school took part in a "Sign 2 Sing" event in the assembly hall. This  involved Annanhill signing a song, followed by Grange and Park doing "Let it Go" from Frozen (led by Louise Howie a S6 pupil) and then everyone came together to perform "Friends Forever". Miss Nicholls and Miss Dillon had been visiting S1 mentor classes to teach them the "Sign 2 Sing song" and letting them know about the event.

Please find below the video of all 3 schools taking part in signing "Friends Forever."

"Let it Go" signed by the Grange & Park Choir.

What is Sign2Sing?

Sign2sing transforms the lives of Deaf children. It's an annual event, raising essential funds for the Deaf Health Charity SignHealth - giving an exciting and fun introduction to sign language through music. This brings Deaf and hearing children together through sign language.  We're aiming to inspire future generations of doctors, nurses, lawyers, healthcare workers and others, to learn sign language.

Signing Classes

Signing classes now run every Wednesday lunchtime in Miss Morrisons' room in Science.  Please come along and join in!
